Nevada is one of the few states that legally requires OSHA 10 for construction workers. If you’re doing construction work in Nevada, you must complete OSHA 10-Hour Construction training within 15 days of starting on a job site. No exceptions.

Nevada’s OSHA 10 Mandate

Under NRS 618.983, construction workers in Nevada must:

  • Complete the OSHA 10-Hour Construction course within 15 days of hire
  • Carry proof of completion (DOL card or temporary certificate) on the job site
  • Employers must verify completion before allowing workers on site

Online OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 cards satisfy Nevada’s legal requirement. The DOL card issued is the same as in-person training.

Fastest option: If you need your OSHA 10 right away, online self-paced courses let you complete the 10 hours over 2 days. Most providers issue a temporary completion certificate immediately that you can show employers while waiting for the DOL card.
