Provider Verification
Role-Based Paths
State-Aware
Use this page as a pre-purchase checklist for OSHA and safety training.
1. Confirm OSHA authorization
- Check provider/trainer status against OSHA outreach resources:
- If the provider is not listed or cannot verify trainer authorization, stop.
2. Confirm what credential you actually receive
- OSHA Outreach courses should result in a DOL card.
- Employer-specific training (forklift, confined space, etc.) usually results in employer documentation, not a universal government card.
- If a provider claims to issue a “federal OSHA license,” treat that as a red flag.
3. Confirm full pricing
Ask for the total before checkout:
- Course fee
- Card/shipping fee
- Retake fee
- Certificate replacement fee
If pricing is unclear until late checkout, choose another provider.
4. Confirm support and records
- Support channel and response window
- Student record retention and re-issuance process
- Accessibility and language options (Spanish and bilingual support if needed)
5. Confirm state/local fit
- Check your state or city page for local mandates:
Report suspected fraud or misrepresentation
- Use OSHA resources to verify claims before purchase.
